Implementation
of new 13-digit numbers by PTCL |

With the Implementation of new numbers by Pakistan
Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL); your old 12 digit Customer
ID has now been replaced with the new 13 digit Customer ID. Current
printed PTCL bills (for the billing month of July, 2009) that you will
/ have received in the month of August, 2009 will reflect both the old
12 digits customer-Id as well as the new 13 digits customer-Id. In order
to pay your bill via MCB’s Self Service Channels please follow
the steps mentioned below:

| Payment through MCB Virtual Banking: |
| |
Please
delete your old 12 digit customer ID and re-register the new 13
digit ID reflecting on your current PTCL bill before attempting
to pay your monthly bill. Following is an example for your understanding: |

Old Customer ID: 169125861234 (12
digits)

New Customer ID: 1691235861234 (add
“3” in case of Karachi and Lahore)
1681205862224
(add “0” For the rest of the cities)

| Old 12-digit PTCL Bill Deletion Procedure: |

 |
Login to MCB Internet Banking.
|
| |
|
 |
Go to Managing Services menu & select Maintain Services.
|
| |
|
 |
Select Maintain Billing Details option, select the concerned
PTCL Bill which you want to delete & click on the bill no.
|

 |
The concerned billing details will be displayed in front of you,
Press the DELETE button & confirm deletion by clicking submit.
|

|
 |
A confirmation message will be displayed on the screen and after
that you need to register your bill again with the new PTCL 13
digit customer ID
|

|
| New 13-digit PTCL Bill Registration
Procedure: |
| |
 |
Go to Managing Services menu & select Maintain Services.
|
| |
|
 |
Go to Maintain Billing Details option, select PTCL as Billing
Institution, click Next
|
| |
|
 |
In the Bill Number field, enter the new PTCL 13 digit Customer
ID which is mentioned on your current printed PTCL Bill.

 |
In Bill Alias (Bill Name) field provide name to your bill e.g.
PTCL Home Bill, PTCL Office Bill etc.
|

|
 |
In the Subscriber name field, enter the name of
the person, to whom the PTCL bill is issued. |

|
After
registering your PTCL Bill, |
| |
|
 |
Please go to the Payment / Transfer menu.
|
| |
|
 |
Click on the Bills Payment option.
|
| |
|
 |
Select your newly registered PTCL Bill (with 13 digits Customer-Id)
for payment.
|
| |
 |
Click on the Bill Number, verify the billing details and press
the submit button.
|

 |
You’ll receive the payment confirmation via email &
SMS.

| Payment through MCB ATMs: |
| |
For payment through MCB ATMs, registered customers are advised
to un-register the old 12 digits PTCL customer-Id first and re-register
the new 13 digits PTCL Customer-Id by selecting the option Service
Request and then Bill Registration / Un-registration available
at MCB ATMs; where as unregistered customers can directly enter
the new 13 digits PTCL Customer-Id for payment of telephone bills.

and MCB Call Centre: |

Customers are
advised to enter / provide the new PTCL 13 digits customer-Id as
reflected on their current printed PTCL bills for payment of their
telephone bills. |
