Experience & Skills

4-7 year experience in Switch/ Controller / Terminal software testing and quality assurance

Responsibilities

An ATM (Automated Teller Machine) & switch are critical component of the payment infrastructure that enables transactions between banks, ATMs, and card networks.
The job description for an ATM & associated switch has some key responsibilities & potential candidate must possess hands on knowledge and working experience in the field of payment systems.
Candidate must have knowledge and working experience on:
  1. Processing and routing transactions: Manage and switch transactions between different banks, ATMs, and card networks (e.g., Visa, Mastercard, 1link PAyPak and other global schemes).
  2. Network management: knowing connectivity and communication between participating banks, ATMs, and networks.
  3. Transaction authorization and authentication: Able to Verify cardholder information, validate transactions within the system
  4. Monitoring and troubleshooting: Oversee system performance, identify issues, and perform maintenance tasks.
  5. Security and compliance: Implement and enforce security protocols and regulatory requirements (e.g., PCI-DSS).
  6. System updates and enhancements: Collaborate with development teams to implement new features and upgrades.
  7. Able to extend technical assistance within bank
  8. Collaboration with stakeholders: handy in working cross functional teams, good in communication and presentable at work.
  9. Problem solving skills w.r.t to payment system. Should be analytical and logical in thinking
  10. will conduct testing on ATM Switch/Terminals(ATM, CCDM, Digital Kiosks) in preparation for release of software

  12. will be involved in both hardware and software testing.
  13. The required candidate(s) must possess good understanding of software testing methodology and the software development life cycle specific to ATM Switch / Terminals.
  14. The candidate(s) will be required to analyze business requirements and specifications, design and execute tests, record, and report results, and generate defect records.
  15. The primary objective for this candidate will be to drive the testing process through development and execution of test scenarios, as well as regression testing and problem reporting.
  16. This position would also support the development team through diagnosis of issues and problem recreation. Issue tracking and communication are expected, as well as reporting the status of test coverage for assigned projects

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

Knowledge & Skills:

Previous experience with ATM Switch/ Terminal level for testing of NDC, XFS applications. 2-3 years’ experience of designing and implementing test plans, scripts, and writing test reports. Practical working knowledge of software / hardware testing methodology

Behavioral Competencies:

Good technical knowledge of the ATM Switch and its Operating systems NDC, XFS. Practical working knowledge of testing methodology. Good oral and written communication skills. Experience with bug reporting/tracking tools (ex. JIRA)

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in a computer science discipline
