Unit Head Compliance & Controls-Digital Banking Group

JOB Description

  • Responsible for acting as a primary point of contact with key internal and external stakeholders, i.e internal audit, SBP teams with the aim of performing advanced level assessment on internal controls
  • Ensuring accurate representation in BMP cases in coordination with FRMD, Service quality and Legal
  • Advising on adequacy of control design and driving the development of systems/work processes which are aimed at improvement of controls and Central Bank Compliance
  • Responsible for performing periodic Risk and Controls Self-Assessment (RCSA) exercises to adhere to the Banks RCSA framework
  • Serving as a focal person and coordinator of Digital Banking Group for State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), Internal Audits, External Audits, so that the Group remains compliant to Central Bank regulations, and internal policies and procedures
  • Evaluating the design of internal control activities and maintaining and updating key controls
  • Ensuring timely and accurate data is submitted to CCG/regulators and internal/external audit teams by coordinating with stakeholders
  • Ensuring compliance to SBP inspection reports and regulations and timely updating the status to CCG/ITAM (Issue tracking and monitoring) etc
  • Ensuring identification and reporting of key risk indicators (KRI’s) of the Group under operational risk management framework
  • Responsible for performing annual walkthroughs over key operational processes for identification of the Groups process improvement areas
  • Maintaining all internal control documentation is in line with the Groups internal control requirements
  • Responsible for execution of RCSA exercises within the Group to timely identify emerging risks and to fix the specific control lapses or process weakness and ensure smooth operation of the Group processes

Experience & Skills

Minimum 05 years of experience in middle or senior management level with solid exposure in compliance and internal controls

Knowledge and Skills

  • Knowledge of Banks core policies /procedures and related regulatory requirements
  • Knowledge of Digital Banking and its products/areas and related policies and procedures

Qualifications

Graduate from a recognized University (preferably Masters in Business Administration, Banking or in any other related field)
