MCB Bank is proud to support the National Financial Literacy Program (NFLP), an initiative by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) aimed at promoting basic financial education among the general public. In collaboration with SBP and other financial institutions, MCB Bank is undertaking efforts to provide financial education and account opening guidance to a wide audience across rural and urban areas throughout the country.

The NFLP targets individuals between the ages of 18 and 60, with an equal representation of both males and females. Through our partnership with SBP, microfinance institutions (MFIs), and non-governmental organizations (NGOs), we have identified lead banks and partner institutions in every district covered by the NFLP.

To reach the target audience, we employ a combination of classroom sessions and street theaters held at different locations across Pakistan. Our field officials, who have undergone comprehensive training conducted by NFLP Master Trainers, are responsible for conducting the classroom sessions and delivering the main course contents at the grassroots level. Additionally, we utilize street theatre videos in various regional languages to engage and inspire large groups of individuals, encouraging them to actively participate in and take advantage of the services and features offered by MCB Bank.

A few highlights of training sessions conducted in the past are shared below:

By actively participating in the NFLP, MCB Bank aims to empower individuals with essential financial knowledge, promoting financial literacy and enabling them to make informed decisions about their finances.
